Rio de Janeiro, 1981 \ lives and works in São Paulo

His research focuses on media such as video, photography, installation, performance and music. Interested in noise and wear and tear in images and sounds, attentive to error and chance as tools, the creative process is planned from hermeneutic thinking in the search for sensory solutions to shape philosophical issues about space, time and dreams.

Pontogor is part of the research and archive team at the moraes-barbosa collection, where he has organized exhibitions such as: Horror Vacui (group show) and Anestesia; Anistia, Amnesia (solo show by Guatemalan artist Regina José Galindo), together with artist Cris Ambrósio; I’ve Always Loved Jezebel, a tribute to Lawrence Weiner, together with Thiago Tannous and Joaquim Pedro dos Santos.

Since 2015 Pontogor has been part of the Ueinzz Theater Company. He has taken part in international artistic residencies such as: Batiscafo, in Cuba; Air Antwerpen, in Belgium; Urra, in Buenos Aires, among others. Among his main exhibitions are: Chove Sobre Mim A Minha Vida Inteira, at Casa do Olhar, Santo André; Ver Como Anda O Mundo Sem Os Olhos, at Sé Galeria, São Paulo; Labirinto de Hermes, Pivô, São Paulo. In 2007 he won the Prodem prize at the Siart biennial in La Paz, Bolivia, with the video/installation Pianos.
