Ant’s service was installed at the Ema Klabin Foundation, a museum that preserves the collection of Ema Klabin
at her house in Sao Paulo.
The work consists of a train that runs throughout the Foundation grounds, in and out of the house, carrying a tableware set that contains six dinner plates, six soup plates, six dessert plates and six teacups and saucers. Each piece has a printed image: an ant carrying an object. There are several references to the context of
the museum in the images: the collections of the house – from the the West Indies Company tableware, to the parties that took place in the house, to the employees’ work conditions, the ones who kept – and still keep – the house in operation, to the universe of the ants temselves.
