Grayscale consists of the production, exhibition and sale of ice cream in different shades of gray. The ice cream has different flavors and is served in black cones. The ice cream is displayed in a refrigerated ice cream counter and arranged in color gradient.
The work was originally set up in 2012 as an intervention at the Jauja ice cream parlor in Bariloche, Argentina. During the period of the show in situ – Arte en el Espacio Publico, Jauja produced and sold six flavors of ice cream in six shades of gray. In 2013, the work was shown at Vermelho Gallery, in Sao Paulo and in 2014 in the same gallery stand at SP-ART fair.
